Q: How do I obtain a dog license?
A: You can either get a form at Village Hall or online at our license web page.  Then either mail or drop off the form at Village Hall with your payment.

Q: How do I know if I live in the Village of Merton or the Town of Merton?
A: Check your tax bill.  If your tax key number begins with a MRTT, you live in the town.  If you tax key number begins with MV, you live in the village.

A: As of August 1, 2004 the population is 2,185.

Q: How can I find my tax key number?
A: At the Waukesha County Treasurers office, Village of Merton office or the Waukesha County web site.

Q: Where do I vote?
A: Voting takes place at the village hall.  Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm in the village hall conference room.
All residents must fill out voter registration form at the clerk’s office to be on the official poll list before the election.  If you choose to register on election day, it may take them much longer to vote.
